Go to your Il-2 settings, then select openGL instead of directX. Make sure you have stencil buffer enabled. Set your landscape perfect. Open your conf.ini and go to the bottom. Change the value water=1 to water=4. Do you have ATI or nVidia graphics card?

Don't also forget to turn settings to "perfect" in Landscape detail

If the weather is not perfect you can even see some of the waves breaking? Don't know if this is really so but I think.

Ok well I didn't know I had to have HardwareShaders on but I've done everything else. Thanks.

It even works with Water=3.
By the way, don't forget to select Thunder. Then you will see the white foam on top of the waves.
