Mouse View to Joystick - Guest - 25.05.2010
Hi all I very recently bought the Saitek Cyborg V.1 Stick and I'm loving it and I was wondering how I could get the Mouse viewing how you just move the mouse and thats where you look onto my joystick hat but I heard it is hardcoded into the game.
I can live without but would prefer it alot. Because I just press F9 and my view moves in little bits and stays there on my joystick. I can live with that but it would be nice to have total freedom of view like the mouse.

Mouse and hat switch are kind of different things. If you open up both you'll notice that they'll work in way different way. Mouse moves freely and has buttons to use different functions. Moves in hat switch are limited, usually to 8.

You need a program called new view
http://war.by-airforce.com/downloads/newview.html - it will allow you to do a number of different things for your view including using your web cam like Track Ir (with cam2pan) and converting your hat to a mouse view panning device. I used it before I got TIr and it works pretty well.

Saitek's SST software should allow you to emulate mouse movement with the hat switch. That's what i do with my Cyborg EVO.
