airplane skins - Sean2323 - 10.06.2010
I use paint for my skins, but i got a problem, every time i use paint to make skins, all the colors are dull, like yellow and red are a dull orange, and purple would be grey, and dark green would be sort of a dull teal, any help?
Note: i dont have photo shop, my computer didn't come with it and i'm not paying 500 bucks for a darn PICTURE editor!

Well, I myself recommend GIMP. It's a free image manipulation program, look it up.
I don't know why the colors in paint would be dull though, it's fine for me and I don't know what kind of option you could use to dull or brighten colors.

Gimp is a powerful tool, can do everything Photoshop does.

You can't ever make good skins with paint. It does not have the required tools. I'm using GIMP too.

ALL colors , weather you use Photoshop or Gimp, must be turned to a darker
tone . It might look strange on a skin, but during gameplay they will shine
brighter. Take it from me and do the experiment yourself.

Ah, I thought the colors looked dull in paint, not in game.

Paint.NET is good too with enough features and functions. It has less features than GiMP or PS, but I find that a bonus as it's less confusing. I only use one plugin, to be able to open PS files.
