OT - New Antivirus Software - aaareg13 - 14.06.2010
~S~ All,
Recently my Norton Antivirus subscription just ran out, and I was wondering if there are any other antivirus softwares out that have somewhat more options than Norton.
Thanks

NOD32 is very good, haven't had any problems since switching to it...certainly can't say the same for Norton when I was using it!

The old versions of Norton weren't so good, but the 360 3.0 which I am using works well and it's faster than older ones.

Avast or F-secure
(interesting to note that Norton recently deleted W.o.W from many of it's users PC's)

Thanks for the replies guys, although my dad just decided to renew Norton as he said the same as most other people, that it does what it's supposed to do.
And I don't play W.o.W so that won't be a problem for me

Good day, everyone
This topic was moved from General Discussions Forum where we talk about, well, general IL-2 topics.
Topic was moved here to the PC Tech Help Forum because it relates closer to computers than IL-2.
To get back to the topic, I use Kaspersky after trying many anti-malware programs. In my humble opinion, Kaspersky is the best of the ones which I tried.

Kaspersky, Avira, or Avast. Simply stated
$$,free, free. Kaspersky is a phenomenal and trust worthy product and low cost to the home user. Avira and Avast are both great solutions and free for home usage which have proven reliability and protection at again the low low cost of nothing. I use and have used them all frequently in my Career, and have found the most luck and best protection available for home users is to go with one of the aforementioned products in relation to home use software. Keep in mind gentlemen, a single product unfortunately will not always do the job. A decent third party, none integrated anti-malware product like MalwareBytes, Ad-Aware, or SpyBot-S&D are welcomed and beneficial utilities to save you some grief in combination with a decent firewall.
