It turns the lens flare effect on or off.
Lens flare in IL2 only happens from the sun and I think also looking directly into a searchlight. Lens flare is a graphic effect to mimic HOLLYWOOD! It doesn't happen in real life, as it needs multiple lenses for the effect to occur. It doesn't happen with just one lens, so if you wear glasses in RL, you wouldn't get it.
Turn it on to see how it looks, it's just as easy to turn it off again.

Hi,
In general, this is all true. When a pilot in World War Two had his goggles over his face, there could sometimes be flare when also looking through the other glass surfaces around him.

I am almost sure that there is a way to do it. Can you post a new topic about it in the IL-2 Tech Help Forum? This is interesting and some guys will like the discussion. Okay?
Remember: The more descriptive that the title of the post is, the better your opportunity to be noticed and get help. You might want to mention what type of mod pack you are using, too, in case that matters.
