Couple of question about water, trees, bridges . . . - Guest - 23.06.2010
I have couple of questions. Also posting them over at the SAS.
1. Is it possible to have bridges at altitudes greater than zero sea level? I mean is it possible to make bridges if water is above sea level 0?
2. If possible, how?
3. Is it possible to remove trees from water (rivers) if water is higher than sea level (0 meters in IL2)?
4. If possible how?
I know that those are beginners question in IL2 map making, but there it is. Would appreciate some help. So . . . heeeeeelp!!!

Not working bridges, no. There are bridge objects that can be placed at higher alts, but traffic won't use them.

For bridges you can use the composite objects which zipzap and zuti used for their maps, they look pretty good and the vehicles will pass over them (look for example on Slovenia map).
I don't understand question number 3...

Thank you both. Non working bridges is fine for me, I just need them to be there, no mater traffic.
And for question No 3 (water) Idiot of me just forgot to put some texture for the rivers, thats why trees from nearest textures was poping in the middle of the river. Solved now.
I'm working on a new map, with help from some friends who knows the area in real  There will be some new things introduced, but it will be finished god only knows when . . . and apparently i cant keep my mouth shut
