You can only raise objects in FMB like smoke and lights using a key combonation, to raise static objects like tanks I believe you need to go to the Static.ini and add these lines:
How much meters to add to height about of land's surface(Don't copy this line)
AddHeightLive 0.0
AddHeightDead 0.0
And I also think you, if you want to keep your original object as a seperate, then copy all of your objects lines and I think you have to rename it aswell so it appears as a new object.
I will test my theory later in the day and if it works I will post a guide to it.

Raising an object t the height of a ship's deck (if it works) won't attach it to the deck anyway. when the ship moves the object will stay in place. What you are trying to do can't be done.
Verhängnis, don't you think it would be better to find out whether your 'theory' works before advising people to try it out?

Of course. But at that moment I didn't have the time, I will try it out now.
EDIT:
After some experimentation with the Ruler object mod, I have a theory that you must extract all the neccasary object files out of the SFS and put them in the correct structure in your mods folder, name it something different and add the lines to the static.ini files which then puts the objects in the objects list in the FMB. I'm not going to try it because that will take a while and I just can't be bothered. Or to raise existing objects and objects only that are already in the list you can't simply duplicate the lines and add the height lines in, it doesn't work, unless you want to extract it all out of the SFS and go through all that like I mentioned above then the answer to your question is No specter.
Later I will add a guide if my new theory is correct.
