F-86 install help - RadPig94 - 08.07.2010

i have HSFX 4.0 and i'm trying to install this mod: viewtopic.php?f=89&t=28891

i thought it would be an automatic install but idk how to get it started, i tried to follow Readme but it crashes at 60%

Re: F-86 install help - RadPig94 - 08.07.2010

turns out F-86 comes with a 3do folder, but throughout the whole 1946 files there are 3 3do folders, idk what to do

sorry, i didn't specify which F-86. it's F-86J, it does not come with the update, J version has sidewinders

Quote:This mod utilizes "DiffFM" mod for Flight Modelling.

Did you install the Diff FM mod?

Hi, RadPig

I'm glad that you are enthusiastic about IL-2 and our site.

We need to keep order and make navigating as easy as possible for people doing searches.

Please do not post about the same general problem with multiple topics in various forums.

Just post one topic about an issue.

Two of your topics here were merged and moved to this HSFX Forum where they belong.

sorry, i just so used to my other forums, Thanks for the help everyone, turns out it's a whole lot better if you use programs like 7z (luckly i already had it for other reasons  ) instead of windows unzipper

Re: F-86 install help - Storebror - 10.07.2010

Great to see that it's working now

Two things I'd like to mention:

  1. It's a good idea to post issues regarding the F-86J / Sidewinder mod in the regarding thread of the mod, not elsewhere.
I just stumbled across this thread by accident.
  2. DiffFM mod is already included in the F-86J mod by default. See the first post in the mod's thread.

Best regards - Mike

sorry, it's just i'm still getting used to this forums, it's different

Re: F-86 install help - Fireskull - 10.07.2010

Good day, everyone

Since the F-86J and Sidewinder are in a download forum, I did not want to put this topic there. This is a discussion topic and RadPig has an HSFX as base for installing the mod.

Radpig, the HSFX 4.1 and 4.11 have much more content than the 4.0... Why not install the add-ons? You will probably want to do it eventually. Why not now? You could keep separate installations of IL-2 as well-say 4.0 in one place and the total 4.11 in another. Doesn't the F-86J come with the latest HSFX? There are so many facts to remember!

Re: F-86 install help - RadPig94 - 10.07.2010

i do have 4.1 installed, but there's a 4.11 also? guess i'll have to look for that

Re: F-86 install help - Fireskull - 10.07.2010

Remember to make copies of absolutely everything that you want to keep. I would recommend keeping copy of everything upto the 4.09m patch build and the 4.0 build which you already have. "Better safe than sorry," as they say. Smile
