"Here is the view from 200 m to 40 km with modeling of atmospheric physics (contrast of hills/mountains at highest altitude will be more nicely tuned later)

You may see that we are thinking about third party developers and our own upcoming after BoB titles using this engine Hope you all understand what I mean."

If you look at the 40km image you can see the what I think is the edge of the map, just below Brittany. So I'm guessing they've made like a water world and built the map on top of that so to speak and that means some day we could have the rest of Europe and do none stop trips to Berlin and back Big Grin

The landscape formation is just awesome.

Re: SOW update 2010-7-9 - akodonnell - 12.07.2010

this looks awesome, but I noticed on the other screens that the trees only appear in close proximity to the camera, and the rest of the landscape has no trees. It goes from dense trees to no trees in a very distinct line. Maybe they're working on a draw distance thing for distant objects and trees?

Close up the landscape looks poor at the moment, to say the least.

We'll should see 20 km altitudes views in the Korea episode (Lockheed U-2 FTW unfortunately 2 years later Cry )

Hopefully no more IL-2 like graphics bugs...
