Caldrails Secrets Of World War Two, Episode 1 - caldrail - 25.07.2010

For those of us who lived through the Cold War era, the Soviet claims of technological superiority invoke humourous responses from us westerners. After all, everyone knows they simply knicked the plans and copied everything we did Big Grin

Or did they? I present to you now incontrovertible evidence of superior Soviet technology. Far from being crude and hastily built aeroplanes (a western propaganda trick surely?) they had electronic aids in world war two to help their pilots to victory in air battles over eastern europe.

Notice the small in-flight television screen as the pilot in this exquisitely modelled LaGG3 watches the news to raise his morale before the mission.

I submit that the accuracy of IL2 3D models is damning evidence of a secret cover-up of advanced Soviet technology. Now.... The makers of IL2 models wouldn't be fooling us at all would they? Surely not...
