Really need help - Spitfire Legend - 14.08.2010

hey this may sound really stupid to everyone but i am completley new to pc gaming and stuff like that but i was looking at downloading a certain mod for IL2 1946 which just gives better smoke contrails and in the mod instructions it says download and put it in your "MODS" folder but i dont seem to have one of these and its really confusing me and sorry the answer is probably already out there in a forum but to be honest there are way too many forums to be looking through and i really don't have the time.

P.S i also see people on youtube flying planes that i cannot fly in the game does anyone know how i can do this ? any help i recieve will be much appreciated thanks in advance,

That's because your game isn't modded, i.e. you haven't installed a mod activator. The stock IL-2 1946 game is not moddable.

Here's a guide by Verhängnis for installing a basic mod activator:

There's a lot more stuff I could tell you, but to be honest, I really don't have the time. :wink:
