1/32 Revell Spitfire Mk. 22/24 - Sidewinder9 - 24.09.2010

Today I've finished my Spitfire, where I've chosen the Mk. XXIV (or Mk. 24) version.
It took me a long time to finish it and it was actually a bit difficult to assemble at certain points, but I succeeded and I think it became pretty spectacular.
Of course that is just my opinion, and therefore I would like to hear your opinion!
Btw. it's my scale model aircraft no. 72 Big Grin

Since the pictures' resolution is 4000x2248 pixels, I had to place them on the well-known homepage, imageshack.
Here are the pictures:

What a cute lil' spitfire! You really made the details well Big Grin

Only minor con I see is that you used a bit too thick paint. It is seen on the closer views.

But it is a very nice one!

Thanks! Big Grin

Yeah I know that with the paint, I tried to thin it out by adding some water, but it wasn't quite enough though, but it's alright. ^^

Were the paints "real" ones or from some other set where they are supposed to be thinned with water? Most of the pants need thinner.

Re: 1/32 Revell Spitfire Mk. 22/24 - Sidewinder9 - 25.09.2010

All of the paints are the "original" ones bought from Revell by the purpose of making this Spitfire.
So all of them are "real" paints.

All Revell paints are Enamel (solvent based).

Re: 1/32 Revell Spitfire Mk. 22/24 - Sidewinder9 - 26.09.2010

No I use the acrylic versions, because I think it is annoying to use the enamel because of the smell and the white spirit you need to clean the brushes with.

You can see the acrylic versions here:

But I order them from a british site called:
