How did you make your INSTALL- step by step???

Re: ultrapack2 - Bearkiller72 - 24.09.2010

It's always the same...

You installed UP. Fine. To which version of Il-2? You need to patch to "4.09m" NOT "4.09b1m".
You need to install to an unmodded version - no Sound-Activator, no Unified Installer, no HSFX, no older Ultrapack - just plain "4.09m".

If you followed all this, all lights should be green.
If you didn't, please let us know what you exactly did, on what version of game, else no one could possibly help you.

Also, the percentage numbers give a clear clue on what is wrong, e.g. CTD 5%, 70%, etc. Say, have you met our trusted friend "Mr.Search" so far...? Smile

Hi,

Essential instructions for handling any IL-2 patch or mod pack, including UltraPack, are in my guide here:

A 5% crash almost always reveals something wrong with the installation process, such as wrong patch, missing patch, or things installed in the wrong order.

Yes, indeed. As far as I know, none of the major mod packs (and certainly not v4.09m) support the 4.09b (b = beta), no - not one. 4.09b is no longer supported or used.

All current major mod packs are based on the 4.09m official, but soon the 4.10m will be released and the modding communities will release the next mod packs to install onto 4.10m. I do not know when, but a trusted source tells me very soon.
