System/Game Performance Mods -
{HVY-E}Jinxx - 28.09.2010
Gents,
I've gotten a bit of free time, so I thought that I'd start up a thread to host Mods/Tweaks that people have done to get their systems/games to run better.
Post some of your experiments and outcomes here and share the wealth.

Running IL-2 from a thumb drive:
There are a couple of different ways to do this:
1. Install the game directly onto the thumb drive and pull it when not needed.
Pros: Can always have your game/files with you where ever you go.
Easily transfer game files/data to friends.
Can upgrade the size of the drive whenever you want.
No chance of damage to the drive platters from shock (there are none :p).
Cons: Driver letter can change without warning when the drive has been removed.
Can be easily lost.
2. Install the game to a thumb drive that is hard wired to your system's mainboard.
Pros: Can never be lost.
Drive letter will not change.
No chance of damage to the drive platters from shock (there are none :p).
Cons: Can not easily change the size of the drive without opening up the entire system.
Can not transport files easily.
Slow read/write times (depending on drive!!).
I will post more on how to complete this 'Mod' later as I get pictures to post. Right now I need to get to school.
