The modding community is free and we don't tend to pay for people to do the work. Besides why do you need the money???

And also is that Flying Legends new version of the Old site that died?

Re: B-17G Project - KG64_Cnopicilin - 30.09.2010

Oh come on guys, you will never get 5000 bucks; we have modders just as good as you are, but they work for free because they love this game.

No that's here: http://news.flightsimfiles.com/

Can't see anyone stumping up the money for this, IMHO the project is already dead if it needs financing. everyone else chucks in their time and effort for free.

What do you need the money for? You have the tools, and you can't buy any more free time..

Re: B-17G Project - LeBigTed - 30.09.2010

Hi mates,

I totally agree with KG64_Cnopicilin, when he saying that 5000 bucks you won't get it... Sorry for that, but he is right.

A lot of good moders are working for free. If you check on the "market", very few people are using Modded IL2 1946. So your target is very well informed and knows where to download good mods for free. I don't want to suggest you to give up, but according to me, you have to know first that nobody will pay you to developp a mod... I mean, even if 5 000 people give you 1 $, unfortunatly, nobody will have certitude that your Mod will be done... I encourage people to make a donation and not to pay for Mod.

What I would suggest to you, but another time this is simply a suggestion and my opinion is not the right thing of course, so what I would suggest to you: developp your mod, post a video on youtube, and check how many people will be interested, and you will see it. After that, you can check how many people are looking at this forum and others such as UP, Sas...(Thanks to Google Adwords), and you will have an idea of the market you want to target. But another time: I have no doubt that you will do a good job, but why will I have to pay for something I can get free ???

I wish you all the best for your project ;o)

Paka !!!

+1000 for the first part. AAS, SAS and whatnot modders devote so much of their free time for the community and ask nothing for it. They still get the "job" done perfectly. :!:
+2000 for the second. Let me repeat the question, what do you need the money for? 5 grand? If someone gave 5000$ to the modders active on AAS, we would have a working
Saturn V mod and do a virtual trip to the moon...

Re: B-17G Project - db605-A/S - 30.09.2010

They are trying to hold us and our love for the B-17G HOSTAGE! This is NOTHING MORE than MODERS Terrorism. A sad attempt at the exploitation of the sim and a stab at the community at large.
I hope they are kidding around.

I see Micro$$$$oft Flight $$$$$imulator deals knocking on the door.

Re: B-17G Project - Messer1941 - 30.09.2010

We work under such plan:

1. We interview: "How many people are ready to offer 15 - 20$ For love to Il-2.
?-17 The good plane, and we want that it would be in official addition.

2. Much to our regret without financing this project cannot be finished.
That amount of works will be carried out 3 modellers?, in a current to a floor of year.
5 000$: 6 months: 3 modellers = 278$ It is payment of everyone modellers for 1 month of work.
Agree, it very much is not a lot of.

3. Our plan after we will receive acknowledgement on readiness to pay, we begin work.
After end 1/3 projects, we will start to raise money.

best regards Messer

Re: B-17G Project - RedChico - 30.09.2010

1. Nice to $ee you u$ing "for love to IL2". Kitten$ will al$o die if you don't get the 5000, i pre$ume.

2. Global cri$i$, if you need money $tart looking for a job, ju$t like i am at the moment (only, i hope).

3. IF thi$ goe$ ahead, only if, you better fini$h your project fir$t and then a$k for the money. Funny to $ee you $ay at fir$t, "gimme money now and i do it later" and now it$ "1/3 of work done and gimme money now".

4. Finally, there'$ alway$ $heep$ that will fork money, an ignorant action when you can get plane$ for free. $o what i ju$t $aid in the previou$ 3 point$ will be u$ele$$. Lol the irony.

Re: B-17G Project - Deutschmark - 30.09.2010

Hi Messer1941, let me give you some advice.

Coming to a community that gets all their add-on’s for IL2 1946 free
Is not a place to come to ask for money for your add-on project.

If you would like to get some money for your add-on project then go to a
Place where they sell add-on’s for IL2 1946,
Here; http://shop.desastersoft.com/index.html ... log/de/1/2
They are a German firm and they been making paid add-on’s for IL2 from
When Forgotten Battles came out, they may be interested in your project
And give you money for it, but then they will own it not you.

Somehow I really doubt that! We should ask the Daidalos Team about this arrangement - I will!

Jambo

P.S. I did - waiting for an answer....

Re: B-17G Project - tomoose - 30.09.2010
