Resolution Problem need help please - PARAELITE - 07.10.2010

Hi my dads laptop has a problem with IL2 regarding the resolution his normal resolution is 1336 x 768 but when i start up the game the main menu is at like 800 x 600 or possibly even smaller so u can only see the top left hand corner of the main menu. ive tried to doing the config.ini fix for widescreen as this worked on my laptop as i can run il2 1280x800 yet it has no effect on his laptop. any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Is he running the desktop larger than the monitor size? (I forget what the name of that setting is in Windows)
