Axis and Allies Paintworks JG 54 Redux - Casey1976 - 10.10.2010

"Hi Everyone.
I know,I know. It's been done,and done Big Grin
The other week as I was looking at my work over at M4T before it went "Poof" I noticed that the two Packs that did quite well for me were the
Bodney Mustangs, and the two JG54 Packs that were done way back in 07.
The JG54 work was one of my all time favorites so after having a conflab with Casey I decided to give it another go, now that I have much more to work with in the Temp department.
This started out like most packs with a general idea of what I wanted to tackle, but soon mushroomed into one of the biggest projects I've ever taken on.
I'm posting some grabs for you, as I'm almost there.
The emphasis is on camo.I wanted to collect as many styles of camo as I could. This is why I enjoy doing these birds. No other German Squadron
during WWII could match JG54 when it came to camo ingenuity. It's been a lot of fun doing these birds.
The Pack covers JG54 from the summer of 41 when the group inserted into the Balkans thru 42/43,in Russia and Finland,The Defense Of the Reich during 44/45 all the way up to Bodenplatte where the squadron was virtually decimated and the pilots that made it through were transferred to JG26 . It was then that JG54 no longer existed.
There will be close to 40 aircraft as well as Blanks and MAT Blanks included .
The aircraft represented will be Bf109E7's,F2's,F4's G2's G6's,FW190A4's,5's,6's,8's and lastly Doras.
Almost there. Hoping to have everything uploaded within the next 7 to 14 days.
The Grabs Wink
Cheers,
RDDR"
