What's on with 3DO? - zebri - 29.11.2010

hello, i have il2 sturmovik 1946 4.08 . i want to install
the plutonium effects mod. but when i look
into the folder structure of the mod, i notice that
my game has no 3DO Folder.

please help.

First welcome to the site zebri

A 3DO folder = the 3D model for the game, this much I can tell to you.
About the plutonium effects mod am not sure as I dont have it, but I
Dont think it runs with 4.08 as that is a old install most now are running
TD's 4.09 and I know that the plutonium effects mod works with that.
I hope someone with it can come along and help you better then me.

Zebri,
but where do you plan to create that 3D folder?

I think you have a MOD activator, do you? If not you will not be able to do anything. If you have a MOD activator, just copy the 00_A_Plutonium_Universal_Max_Effects folder to the MODS folder of your IL-2 1946 directory. Everything contained there: hashed Java classes, Effects and 3DO contents (all included with the structure needed) will be in the proper place to be loaded.
