Sound Issue - sphinx1912 - 21.12.2010
I just did a complete re-install and almost everything works as it did previously, however I am having an issue with the sound. There is tinny (best way I can describe it) echo as though I'm listening to the game in an empty auditorium, particularly when artillery fires. It wasn't there previously. Any suggestions?

Disable the EAX extensions.

Your conf.ini looks normal.
Check the Sound setup section of the menu for the game.
Also check and see if your sound card has a profile setup for IL-2 specifically that is making it sound like that.
S!

In your config.ini file change SoundFlags.hardware=1 to SoundFlags.hardware=0 save and exit. or Start the game go to Hardware setup--->sound setup--->Audio--->Enable Extensions (Disable it, push the switch down) apply and exit the game. Both ways do the same ting. 8)
