Seemingly infinite number of annoyances... - sphinx1912 - 24.12.2010

This is also one that has creeped up since the installation of HSFX 4. It used to happen when I would jump between maps but now it seems to happen when I play-test a mission, jump back to the map, make some changes and attempt to save? Cause? Sad

This same thing happens too me. Its sporadic and sometimes will display a different message, or just lock up and not load anything. Fix? I stopped editing maps and the problem went away! I know this is no help, so I'll be watching this post in case a solution does arise. I tend to believe that I need a better system.

How much and how old is your memory?
Is your system over clocked?

This sounds very much like a problem with ram going bad (age/over clock related).
Since the modded version of Il-2 uses so much more ram for textures, sounds etc. There is a greater chance to find Ram addresses that no longer work correctly.

Sounds like you're onto something. The RAM in my system is not even a year old and I'm running 4 gigs but perhaps I need more as the campaign I am working on is heavy in movement e.g. aircraft and ground units, so that plus the upgrade in textures etc. is the likely culprit. I was just hoping I could get away without having to buy any more/replace what I have. Thanks for the feedback guys!
