Portforward issue - KG64_Cnopicilin - 03.01.2011

Hi!

I've been trying to set up a minecraft server to play with my friends, I got the server working in LAN but the port forwarding isn't working.

I opened the ports with this guide:
http://portforward.com/english/routers/ ... Server.htm

I double-checked everything but canyouseeme.org port checker says this:
Error: I could not see your service on 91.154.212.254 on port (25565)
Reason: No route to host

I have set the port host to be 192.168.0.101 which is the server ip (checked with ipconfig)

Cnopicilin,

Need to know what hardware you are using for your internet connection.
My guess is that you are using a Modem connected to a router.
If this is the case, then this is your problem.

You've opened up port forwarding from the router to the computer, but your modem is also a router. You have to access it's port forwarding and put your router's IP into the DMZ or forward the appropriate ports to the router as well.

That should solve your problem.

Let me know if I can help further.

Hello!

As you may guess I have not set up our network, but the only "box" we have up in the attic is Telewell TW-EA510v3.
The header says "ADSL modem/firewall"

As I see from the settings DMZ is not enabled.

So do I select the port I want to edit, then check "DMZ enabled" and set it's IP to the server ip or the router-modem IP?

Do you have a static ip setup?

yes

O.k.

Make sure that you have the static IP setup on your Computer along with the Router Gateway, Primary DNS, Secondary DNS and Subnet Mask.

Next check your Router to ensure that you have the ports forwarded to the right IP, (Your system).

If you need, you can PM me your settings and I'll look up your Modem/Router and see if there is something we need to address via the hardware.

Seems like I've done everything you told me to, and still no host.

I will send you my settings as screenshots.
