ship skin mods? - MOG_Marty - 07.01.2011

i was wondering why its so easy to add an aircraft skin or pilot or even a noseart but not a skin for anything else such as vehicles ships and so on..
the reason i ask this is i tried to add a skin to the Tirpitz of the Bismarck and i all sorts of problems with the game not even starting but i fixed that problem..
but it seems very complicated for a simple guy such as myself so my question is can a mod be made to make this as easy as aircraft skins?

ships with the problem is that neither country is not so much the same Bismarck works as anti-aircraft tirpidz etc
