How do I install on Windows 7 - flightrulez - 14.01.2011

OK, so, I insert the disk, then the usual, this file is trying to instal to C:...
Anyways, the Language selector comes up, and I select english, and then I hit ``OK`` and then nothing happens...


Yes, I have already made it so it is compatable with Windows XP Service Pack 2.





UPDATE: I figured it out, heres how:
Thanks anyways for the help, I figured out by myself, I guess you just need to open up the folders inside the disk and then you go to the one marked, ``a``, right click, and then hit run as administrator, I figured that out by testing out different things on the disk, so, hopefully this will help anyone trying to do the same thing as me!

Just install it OUTSIDE the "...\program files (x86)" folder and it will run OK.

I have it installed on a different partition from Windows7 and I have no problems.

My problem is, the run setup screen comes up, I click on it, and nothing happens...
It goes away and nothing happens...

glad to find this thread, i do in fact run on Windows 64-bit. well first thing i did when installing the game was make a new folder and change my directory ie: "C:\Users\RadPig\Games\IL-2 1946"

what is the make of your computer and how old?

Compaq Pressario, modded out, brand new, about 2 months old, and I already got it to work, thanks for your help anyways people Smile

Flightrulze,

You have to run the installer directly from the disc. Open your Windows File browser, select your CD/DVD Rom Drive and run the A.exe program.
That is the actual installer.

Remember that you want to install the game to a different directory on your main drive or better yet, a completely different drive.
If installing on your main HD, I recommend using something like this: C:\Game\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\
