Wide Screen Woe's - Sora - 16.01.2011

I just picked up a Acer 21.5" wide screen monitor after my 21" CRT finally gave out. But one thing has me puzzled, the objects in the game looks stretched side ways. I tried playing with resolution adjustments and even went into the config file but with no luck. If anyone has any other idea I'd be happy to hear about it. Best Regards Big Grin

Re: Wide Screen Woe's - ton414 - 16.01.2011

You should put the resolution of your monitor into the conf. ini:

[window]
width= "here"
height= "here"
ColourBits=32
DepthBits=24
StencilBits=8
ChangeScreenRes=1
FullScreen=1
DrawIfNotFocused=0
EnableResize=0
EnableClose=1
SaveAspect=0
Use3Renders=0

Re: Wide Screen Woe's - Sora - 16.01.2011

Thank you for your input ton414,
I had it set to 1024X768 32 then I changed it to;
[window]
width=1152
height=864
ColourBits=32
DepthBits=24
StencilBits=8
ChangeScreenRes=1
FullScreen=1
DrawIfNotFocused=0
EnableResize=0
EnableClose=1
SaveAspect=1
Use3Renders=0
Unfortunately it still looks kind of stretched.

In the TFT monitors, you should put the native resolution, and:
SaveAspect=0

Re: Wide Screen Woe's - Crazy G - 16.01.2011

I have a 21,5" monitor as well but other brand. My native resolution is 1920x1080 and I did this on the conf file and works fine. Find out your native resolution and stick it on conf and yo´ll be fine. Good luck!

Re: Wide Screen Woe's - stuka_40 - 17.01.2011

I suggest for those who have problem with wide screen, they download "Ecran-Wide 2" mod from SAS here:

The solution disscused here is only the part of solving wide screen problem, because il2 as defult not sopport wide screen! and you have
to edit some class file to do it compatible with wide screen sopport!

Re: Wide Screen Woe's - Sora - 18.01.2011

Thanks guys, last night I noticed the Ecran Program in my Generic Mod Enabler (it was there all the time, lol). When I enabled it, it worked like a charm. Thank you again for your input and support gents, ~S~ Big Grin
