It is Storms of War, but it they changed their name to Cliffs of Dover. So this should be in the SoW Section.

Note that it's still in it's beta stage. It's creators are now working on the final version, which will be released in march. This game has much better visible graphics than IL-2: 1946. And Cliffs of Dover now uses a different engine (updated engine) than it's predecessors.

I don't see all the hype around it either. Maybe slightly better graphics, but that's it. I'm more interested in a demo.
After that i'll decide if i'm willing to pay for a sim that only has one (big) map and a few aircraft. Right now i've got many maps and hundreds of aircraft.
We'll see.

I think that it's almost impossible to improve from IL-2, it's the most perfect combat sim I've seen. Modding goes to infinity and beyond.

Yes, but they would put less detail into the aircraft, what I mean is, they wouldn't fly like how their suppose to, nor will they lpok as nice, and have to correct loads out - And besides it'll take years to make a game that scale (Not including SoW / CoD) :roll:
So I agree with Cnopicilin Il-2 is the most perfect flight sim out at the current time, due to MODs :

Have done some thinking and have the same thoughts as
Cnopicilin and Planemad.
Il21946 4.09m + MOD packs avilable + All dedicated moders and web.sites
Look what has become of it. It is unbelivable, IT'S GREATE. :
) 4.10m DT is reslesed and 4.11 on its way.
Today we are able to fly almost any major event that took place during
WWII ETO, MTO, PTO and not to forgett WWI by Canavas Knights.
And allredy moving in to the coold war era. Korea and Vietnam :
) We can do it online singel or together in Vsquads. We are close to have all
the major historic AC flyable with รก varity of correct Skins, Nose Art and Loadouts
to chose from. New maps are created, fantastic new maptextures comming up to
replace the old one's. And it still growing.
In every little corner round the world is a modder working for free and no charge on their idea's.
And that in fact make this game bee...

Canvas Knights is its own game now, not a MOD any more.
