Hi chaps, I am running HSFX 4.1 and I'm having some issues with a couple of campaigns.
I downloaded the BOB redux from mission4today and I also have a BOB DCG campaign, and I get errors that say RAF_**sqn not found.
I have had to do a complete OS re-install and have had to re-install everything so I'm sure I'm missing something vital.

When missions are made in the Full Mission Builder, the builder has the option of choosing a squadron name for the airplanes. This is found in the Objects/"properties" tab.
A simple fix for you could be to just change the name of the squadron to one that will work or just choose the default name for the country.
Edit each mission in the FMB. Click on the RAF flight's waypoint, look in the objects/properties, edit the squadron's name.

I've been looking at the regiment properties files and it list the squadrons that are causing the errors as 'not found', so if they exist in the .ru files then why can the game not find them?
Is there a moe that includes extra regiments for the RAF?

Try installing the original BoB campaign first and then install the new one.
You may get what you are looking for that way.

Still no go, the DCG campaign still assigns a squadron number that doesn't exist. It assigns my flight as 238sqn yet although it is in the reg.ini file list of squadron id's, the squadron doesn't appear in FMB in the squadron id drop down list.
Why is there squadron id numbers in the reg.ini file that doesn't exist????
I have re-installed the HSFX 4.0 and then 4.1, this was done to a clean install.

First, update to HSFX 4.11
If that doesn't work, let me know. It may be a squadron that was put into UP and wasn't picked up by HSFX.

HSFX and UP should have it! I tested the campaign again also with the 238 Squad in HSFX 4.1 with a almost clean install (mapmods/one additional aircraft) and it works! Dont know what it is!

That being the case, the only thing I can think of is that aqua-ta forgot to install Part-2 of HSFX 4.0 (Yes, it's in 2 parts).

Hi,
I downloaded it via the torrent link on the 242sqn site, and am certain it included part2, I will try the 4.11 patch and see if that helps although I had already tried that. Since then I have re-downloaded and re-installed again in case I had a corrupt download so maybe the patch will work this time.

It includes part 2, but you have to run it separately.
When you run part 1, it will say installing part 1 and then part 2, but it's not the real part 2. It's only the 2nd part of the 1st batch.
Part 1 has 4 files and part 2 has 3 files if memory serves correctly.

Well I've run the part2 and the 4.11 patch and I'm still getting a **sqn not found error.....???????????
Perhaps I should just stick to DGEN.

O.k.
Let's try this....
You don't have to uninstall anything...
Run the HSFX 4.0 Part 1 installer
Run the HSFX 4.0 Part 2 installer
Run the HSFX 4.1 installer
Run the HSFX 4.11 Hotfix
See if that fixes your problem.
Are you getting the error in the DCG, DGEN or from the 'Canned' campaign?
