Replacing an Existing Aircraft Model - RASmith1030 - 03.05.2011

Hello all,
I would like to fly the superb He-51C in Il2 HSFX, but I believe the flight model conflicts with the current buttons file. Also it appears that the buttons file compatible with the 51C model conflicts with other flight models in HSFX.

My question is this: Can I replace an existing aircraft with similar flight charateristics, say the CR42, with the He-51C object model? That way, IL-2 will think it is flying the CR42 (and ignore the incompatible He-51 flight model), while I can "see" the He-51.

I tried several different configurations, but always get a crash at 60%. I am hoping that someone else may have tried this approach, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the great mods and aircraft, and it's good to see this fourm up (again)!!

I think the model He-51C is only compatible with 4.09, but if you want to try to work in HSFX 5.0.1, you must first disable Expert mode, and then you should update button.

Thanks!! I'll try that.
