You're not seeing all the planes there. But imagine 10 or 100 times more in the air at that moment. It might look above your head - like it looks over mine:
The cloud makers:
around 15 miles, or 25 kilometers or 25 klicks west of Frankfurt "Rhein-Main Intl. Airport"
That is "only" the direction west to east. They sure enough affecting the weather too.... :roll:
I still love planes though. :
