here is an update from Luthier at the 1C forums

it shows the changes they have made in the pre release version.
Also it mentions that the SDK is in the pipeline and will soon be released, get ready to be
overloaded with map mods and new planes.
Also there is a new peice of software that is going to be released soon from 1C but they will
not give any details until its release, ooooooooo
anyway
Hope you like

yes this should get everybody excited (hopefully)

Just enough to try and get everyone excited for another 8 yrs of delays, stalls and re-starts.
I'll believe it when I see it.......

I hope it does come out friday.....but what we really need is SLI support from nvidia....this game uses the gpu more then IL-2 ever did....I can tell this by the temps I'm running...CloD is pushing my #1 card to 70c+...most other flight sims (FC2, Blackshark,IL-2) are very cpu and not so much gpu, my cards never break 60c....but I think if we ever get SLI support that will open up alot more playing power for those of us with multiply gpus....I think this game is more gpu heavy because of the shadows, I run them on because I got this game for the selfcasting shadows it the cockpit, but if we could get it so we could turn off ground shadows without turing off the cockpit shadow, we would gain like 20fps overall...I can fly London at 40+ fps on a single 260gtx with no shadows. But since I have to have my cockpit shadows, London stays at 25 fps fpr me because of the 4,000,000 building shadows in the game.

It will be interesting to see just how much accessibility to the API's they will build into the SDK's. and just how they will manage/incorporate the user/external company contributions.
