What I would like to know is,
Who will make the square tap to tap the squared hole
And then who will make the squared screw to go in the
Squared taped hole and who will make the squared
Screwdriver to put the squared screw into the
Squared taped hole.
That's what I would like to know...

This looks like kinda Columbus' egg
It's interesting anyway, how an apparently minor change reqires a much more complex engineering

Drilling holes other than perfectly round has been possible for a long time. it's called spark erosion machining, in whch the metal is placed in an electrlyte solution and a graphite elctrode of the shape you wanrt machined is used to gouge tiny bits of metal away with electrical discharges. Using this method can create complex shapes with fine surface finishes.
