I've started modeling the BMW S1000RR superbike, here's the front covers:

BTW I'm posting my stuff to dA only, you can view 'em here:

WOW! Cnopicilin you are quite the 3D modeler, did you ever think of putting your work into a sim, here is one sim I could recommend, it will take on very high ploy models with no problem.

I am going to move this to open forum where its not anything to do with IL2 or aircraft or war.

Well, not yet as I'm still learning the software. I tend to make high poly models (~200,000-300,000 polys) and I have no idea of how to bake normal and specular maps.

I have only done the frame and front covers for the bike but I still found some massive mistakes, like the swingarm which doesn't allow the chain to go trough it.

Does the 3D program you use have a site where you can ask things like how to bake normal and specular maps?
200,000-300,000 polys is high but this sim I gave you would handle it, just that you would need to say to low end PC users something and it would not be good for on line but ok for off line with a good PC.

KG64_Cnopicilin,

Good progress you have made.

Please let us know once in a while how you are progressing.

There are some 3D and 2D modellers who might be able to help you, so feel free to start a thread here to ask for help.

I am very happy for you! Big Grin
