Hi ABM77 and welcome to AAS IL2 site.
The pilot 3D file can be found in the aircraft folder 3do/plane/cockpit
folder of just about any plane.
You will need to go here to find out how to work with 3D files from IL2;
These are the tools;
viewforum.php?f=31
and these are the MOD Creation Tutorials;

I know it seems like a lot but you will need to do some reading.

Hi,
It's in the aircraft folder 3do/plane/*aircraftname in the SFS or in aircraft mod-folder. In case it's in SFS, extract the pilot of the aircraft that you want to work with, other wise just open the 3do/plane/... and you will find the mesh there. It is highly recommend that you extract the whole aircraft because the pilot 3d compose of several things: pilot1.msh, pilot1.mat, Hmask.msh, head1.msh, etc.
the 3d part will be the .msh while .mat is for material. open the mesh file, if it's in binary (you can't read) then you can import it using buggy importer, other wise, you have to export to 3ds file and import to your max manually.
Hope this help,
