Start up screen background question -
Hoghead - 16.03.2012
I have downloaded a new background s start up screen for the game for the single missions. It works fine. It is a TGA file 800 X 600 image size in RGB mode. I found a JPEG image I liked. I saved it in TGA mode the same as the default backgrounds. Replaced the original (saved it of course) and put the new image in the IL 2 1946/Files/Missions folder with the MAT file. It does not show up :x ? any advice or suggestions?
Thanks

you should try different setting: in 16, 24 or 32 bit, it does count.

We use photoshop, windows paint XP version, but when
it comes to finding the proper format that pleases IL2, or any place else,
we go into
Irfan View to convert the picture, change size, adjust color depht, et/c, and do the final
save as:

( freeware )
Once you know the final result that you want, it is easier to get it done in there...
hope this will help...
