Microsoft visual C++ ? - XLO-JOKER - 31.01.2013

How many versions of Microsoft visual C++ are supposed to be on my computer??? I have 2005 through 2010. Can I uninstall all but the latest version without causing problems? Thanks for any help.

Hi,

Past versions installed do no harm. The same is true with past versions of Visual Studio and past versions of .NET Framework - no harm in having them. You may actually cause something to not work or trigger a new batch of updates by uninstalling them. It is normal to accumulate versions of things. I would let them be and that's what I recommend to everyone. Make sure that you get the latest updates and the update installer will handle what you need and don't need automatically, so you should have peace of mind.
