Hurricane Mk-I. German Markings DG+SC - checkmysix - 20.08.2013
This aircraft would have been used to analyse
and evaluate the Hurricane's strenghts and weakness in combat
so as to give the Luftwaffe Pilots an edge when
confronted with a Hurricane for real.
This was done with All captured Enemy Aircraft
by both sides.
And sometimes a captured plane would be used to get amongst
enemy aircraft as the Silhouette would allow them to get close enough
for Hit & Run attacks[but this was a very rare and risky tactic].

There is another great skin by checkmysix.
Throughout the whole war, there were thousands of captured aircraft in various states of disrepair which were scavenged for parts to rebuild airworthy aircraft. I read somewhere that on the Eastern Front alone, there were over 1000 captured aircraft which were made airworthy and used for various purposes by the side which got them, though most were not fighters.
