Potosi WIP For VSF - kostas - 02.09.2013
I know that is not correct to start a new project while I have not finished my tractor, i have a problem making the skin texture,.....i am working on that, but i cannot resist the temptation to start this ship (please appologise me )
The Potosi was a five-masted steel barque built in 1895 by the German sailing ship company F. Laeisz as a trading vessel. As its shipping route was between Germany and Chile, it was designed to be capable of withstanding the rough weather encountered around Cape Horn.

kostas,
The ship model looks good so far.
I have a question: Do you make the major parts in halves and then use the mirror function to make a whole part? For example, one may make only half the hull, split down the middle, and after completing it to that point then use the mirror function to automatically make the other half of the hull with it. This usually is a large time saver.

Amazing what you guys are doing! Just Awsome! 8)
Another beautiful ship!
You know, the colors of the ship, black, white and red, reminds me of the old German colors - when we still had a Kaiser...

A great thakns to all of you
Clinton, yes a way to save time is the mirror function, but i use sketchup and the mirror create somes issues in the game. So i prefer to use the mirror for the construction lines and then "skining" following the pathes or "Loft" the splines
Re: Potosi WIP For VSF - Fireskull - 03.09.2013
Well, it works for you, as we see from the nice results with the Potosi.
