I'm sure just about everyone would.........

Should anyone who is working on an ac for '46 need information.........

Post what you need, cockpit photo's, engine details or whatever in the related section, allied, axis, historical, experimental.........

Then everyone can 'jump-in' and set to finding and posting the info...........

Should there be another section, or should it just be added to the existing post for the ac?

Its a community, someone wants help on an ac project, well there seem to be lots of interested people that could be helping in some way.............

That is correct, my threads are there when commmunity want to add more information about each aircraft for the modders. My list with references, provided by modders are there for modders that want to start a new project on.

I thank you for making a post like this.

Yeah, I agree its a 'positive' site........

One thing comes to mind.........

To make it easier to find, should each 'section' be divided into sub-sections to make it easier to find things?

Such as fighter, bomber and 'other'...........

'other' would be transports, helicopters and so on.........

Dont worry, I got a plan on tweaking these list with different color and size of texts. Like different color for each nation in the list.

At once you fill them, I will add your references of these aircraft to the list.

These are excellent requests, but before I add your request to my list, can you please help me with one thing.

Turn all of pictures you displayed into all link instead of displaying pictures on the thread. At once you turn all of them into links only, then organize each of these aircraft into this way:

1) Name of aircraft and nation
2) Link to references/background/data
3) link to blueprint
4) links aircraft photos (more the merrier)

At once you fixed all of these, I will be more than happy to add them to the list! I truly look foward to adding these to the list, like I said, these are excellent requests.

Technische Daten MiG-9FR :

MiG-9M was manufactured in June 1947 and test pilot I.T. Ivashchenko performed the first flight on it in July of the same year. Two RD-21 were installed on the aircraft which represented itself the same RD-20 engines but reheated up to thrust of 1,000 kg. This provided to slightly increase flight characteristics. Speed increment was 55 km/h in comparison with MiG-9 production aircraft, time-to-climb of altitude of 5 km reduced by 1 minute and 36 seconds.

Armament location was changed to prevent effect of firing on engine operation. N-37 cannon located on the right side of fuselage and NS-23 cannons located on the left side of fuselage. All armament was shifted back, as cannon barrels did not project behind air intake's cut. In its turn it allowed to move slightly pilot cabin forward and to improve view. In addition the cabin was pressurised. Speed-brake flaps were also installed on the aircraft and configuration of fuel system was changed by means of reducing the number of tanks but keeping their total capacity. Factory tests were carried out on 26 April 1948 after that the aircraft was handed over for state tests which it did not pass. Besides, by that time FR became obsolete as tests of MiG-15 fighter prototypes were carried out in full swing.

mmielli,

Whew, that was awesome list of Russia experiment and 'what if' 1946 aircraft. I finally added them to the list, check them out and see if I got everything right. If there is anything you want to add to these aircraft references, post them here anytime and I will add them to the list when I have a free time.
