I might be missing something in the game, but is it possible to alter the default formation flown by bombers?

Wartime footage shows the box formations with each aircraft covering the other.
As an example...

In IL2 we get bombers flying a finger four formation and relatively easy to pick off. Can this be changed to a more realistic formation?

It could possibly be done if the default was changed to flights of three aircraft, with the flights spaced much closer together... but i dont know how you'd do that, or alter the altitude between the flights.

Any ideas?

Hi,

you can manually build such formations in your Coop/Campaign.

Just set planes to 3/group, and set groups behind lower/higher, let them fly in same direction.

Done.

BS- they only get in a the 3 plane 'vic' at their IP waypoint, and return to echelon after.
