I've been wondering: when off site projects like the D. 520 are finished, will anyone post them here for this sites users to download?

Good question ... but it really depends. It depends on this site's management to allow said mod, it also depends on the modder's permission to allow said mod on this site. If one or either will not allow it, then the answer is no.
We can all be hopeful, but I have a gut feeling that the answer will be no. AAA team likes to keep it inside. They promote their own mods, and take a bit of pride in the quality of their mods. And they have a right to, as the quality of AAA mods speaks for itself. They have earned that bragging right.
