First of all thank you for the work put into making all the aircraft in IL-2 1946 flyable, and the combined installation is just great!
My favorite aircraft is the F6F Hellcat, so I have a request regarding it. In 1943 period maps, I can do well with my F6F-3. When the 1944 and 1945 model planes become available I start to be outclassed, and as the Hellcat never really evolved much that fits.
I would like to ask since the F6F-3 and F6F-5 are almost identical for in game purposes, could someone make Hellcat night fighter variants available?
My reference books don't have good production numbers, they only state that some F6F-3's were modified for night fighter duty by adding radar. Later F6F-5's had factory installed radars and the innermost machine guns were replaced by 20mm cannon (225 rounds per cannon is the number I've found searching online, don't have numbers in my reference books).
My feeling is perhaps the F6F-3 can be left as is and change the F6F-5 to the cannon equipped night fighter variant to give it a bit more appeal on the 1944 and 1945 period maps.
