White splash screen
#1

Good evening.
I installed IL2 from the disk +4.08m+4.09m+4.0+4.1 and now when the game loads the screen is white till the game is loaded. Then I get a bunch of writing in Russian when I try to select a campaign for different nations. Also, while playing online my game will play fine for a while and then freeze up to the point of having to reboot my computer. Can anyone help me resolve these issues. Also, when the loading the stock game it load about 10 times faster than when I use the mods. Does anyone else have this issue?

(The link is inoperative) Here is the language fix.Anytime you add mods to a game it takes longer to load that's a given.I have three or four installs modded to the hilt one of them takes anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes to load.

Is this compatable with hsfx 4.1?

Yes I believe it is,also your game sounds like it may be lagging out when your online. How old is your computer?you may have to free up some ram or you may have a memory leak somewhere.

The computer is only a couple of years old. I have played the stock version online with no problems. I can play the mods offline with no freezing issues just online. This may sound like a stupid question but how can I go about freeing up some additional ram?

Go into my computer right click on Local Disk© go to Properties go down to the bottom and check Compress drive to save disk space, then click apply,be ready for a long wait, then the next day do a defrag. You can also do a disk compression by going to control panel, performance and maintenance and clicking on Free up space on your hard drive.About the white splash screen, from another thread GeneralPsycho said This is an easy fix, all requires is patience

when double clicking on the game icon, DO NOT click anywhere alse until the game is fully loaded.--- Not quite sure if that will work for you but that is all I can find on the subject for now.Another thing about freezing up online this can also be caused by overheating graphics cards or cpu's.Do you have anyway to check temperatures when playing online? One last thing to say about lag then I'll shut up.check your internet speed, lag can be your internet providers problem to.

I have had the same problem, as I had change my graphic card. My ATI X1650 was damaged and I take my old Geforce TI 4200.
Then the load screen was white and the game runs very slow. Think you have less RAM on your graphic card or on your PC.

sorry for my bad english....

Another thing you might want to consider is your connection. If you have a hisg speed connection you may have to do what i di. I was using my motherboard's onboard ethernet.. but then on the advcice of the 99th's tech officer 99th_PapyToa I got an independent ethernet card.. a hish speed one.. and most of my lag isses were solved.
