P-47D-11 or earler with Rockets
#1

I need some evidence of a P-47D-11 and earlier using rockets. Pictures are the best preferred method but if you have a written source then it will do aswell. It needs to be BEFORE the Pylon'd P-47D. So block number -14 and lower.

Thanks

Republic P-47D-11-RE Thunderbolt (42-75215/75614)

The P-47D-6-RE to P-47D-11-RE and P-47G-10-CU to 15-CU production blocks had only ventral shackles, which were stressed to accommodate one 500-lb bomb...

The rest of the details re. the P-47D-1-RE;

Reading my book, it appears that this was the same loadout all the way until they reached the P-47-D11 which had serials 42-75215 to 42-75614 and only had six/eight .5in m/gns, 267-425rpg. plus 1x500lb bomb, but of which 400 were delivered.

Hope that helps, so Rockets were available earlier.

Cheers, MP
