I think that's because they're not included in the Unified Installer (they were released later or were WIP when the UI came out). You need to download and install them separately and make sure you run the latest AC Installer as described in their download threads.
If you previously had them and then re-applied the UI then I guess it might have altered your .ini files. Have you tried re-installing them after the UI and AC Installer?
Good luck
Yes- I have reinstalled - still no joy....
Ditto; I've done the same and after all that re-writing nothing to show for it.
1: Uninstall IL-2: 1946
2: Install IL-2: 1946
3: Patch IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946 to 4.08m
4: Download and install Unified installer
5: Download the newest AC installer and run it
6: Download any planes you need and install them (they need to have auto installer for this to work properly and without incident or risk of failure)
And for god's sake run all of the software as administrator if you're running on Windows Shitsta (Vista)
It has worked for me before, and it's a hassle, but once you learn to either add WIP planes properly (you probably did some mistake in installation like I did back in the day)
I would just wait for the aircraft to be released "properly"
Saves a lot of headache over what's wrong and you'll be one happy camper.
I'm sure someone will post another solution, but this is the universal solution for all problems related to IL-2 and mod installation failure.
If at first you fail, pick yourself up and try again
