Panther Rivet Layer
#1

I used Gord's Blue Panther Template as the base and added a rivet layer. This is still a WIP and I'll publish the finished product when I'm done. This is to see if it looks okay and to get feedback as to whether it would work. The rivets around the windscreen didn't coume out to good because there is a lot of warping so that will have to be worked some more.

I found a few profiles that show a couple of Panthers with a bare metal finish and since I can't do bare metal for spit, I was wondering if someone would like to take up the challenge to make a metal layer.

That looks really good. 8) I couldn't find any references to rivets so didn't put them on. Fine work, really looking forward to it 8) I got the same problem with bare metal

I had to make an educated guess on some of the rivets because the reference material I have doesn't show much. I also know that the Navy was real big on painting their acft against the elements so finding Panthers that you can see rivets on is pretty tough. The only reason I know there are so many is on the profile pic I included. In Photoshop, I could enlarge it and it showed rivet "trails". I had to guess on the wings. Even the Fuselage doesn't have as many as the pic shows.

Okay, while waiting for someone to knockout a bare metal Layer for the template, i decided to give it a go. Not the best to be sure, but then it was a first attempt. As you can see, I need tons of practice.
