If you had to choose :UP1.8 or HFSX4.0?

I would agree with Bearcat. Having said that I would still go with UP rather than HSFX 4.1, because as far as I'm aware, it doesn't include Zuti's 1.0 moving dogfight mod. (I could be wrong).
So with 4.1 you would be missing out on the rearm/refuel and repair thing. :?

If you download them all and gather only the parts you want, You can have allmost all the goodies they have to offer. You just have to disable the one your not using, but it works if you can swing it. Smile

The Wedge Tailed Eagles have gone with UP 1.8.

As has been said HSFX is geared more for SEOW and UP is geared towards general online play.

A lot of servers are converting to UP.

A patch is due out soon which will fix various bugs and hopefully it will add some more Zuti magic aswell.

Well after HSFX 4.1 and the UP 1.8x patch, there will only be one install when the combined pack makers get together. (We could all be playing "Storm of War" by then though).... Big Grin

Yeah at the moment it's UP 1.8, however the way forward is with HSFX and it's forthcoming patch.

What I don't like in UP is some old frankenplanes that spoil the unity and quality in my opinion.

I'm not trying to pick you out in particular Fusek, but this comment is one I've seen many times and really dont get. I thought the "O" in SEOW stood for "Online".

Well, isn't flying a Online War COOP very different to flying in a DF server? I've never actually flown in a Online War, but I imagine it is.

And about the manual mod installion, I prefer it as well for my offline install. But it just doesn't work online, with all kinds of problems when you have conflicting or outdated versions of a mod.

Not really. Online is online, in my book anyway.
