Tutorials for map objects modding

Hi

I'm interested in having a go at creating and adding custom static objects for map & mission builders. Are there any tutorials out there that deal with this area, specifically how to add low poly 3D objects (and their textures)?

.... no tutorial so far m8 , 3d converter has been in public beta phase for less than a month ... so its rather early for tutorials :wink:

Thanks for the reply fly_zo.

Hopefully at some stage, I'll be able to utilize my (limited) 3D modelling skills to make some new objects for airfields. Maybe, one day we can have;

RAF starter trolley
oxygen bottle trolley
RAF AEC Matador truck & fuel bowser
RAF crash fire truck & ambulance
Fordson tractor and bomb trolley
Jeep with 'FOLLOW ME' sign
a/c maintenance step-ladders & platforms
jerry cans
'cannibalized'/damaged static a/c with exposed engines, armament
camouflaged pens for bombers

I could go on... :wink:

If only I knew where to begin :?

Perhaps you guys can give me a start by answering this question: which SFS files do I need to look at to extract the existing objects 3D meshes & textures?
