Sorry but can never get filefront to download - tried AOL/IE & firefox - No joy !!

I use an accelerator (IDM) perhaps thats why ?

I noticed that these are .tga files.
Do they go into the Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\PaintSchemes\skins folders for the various planes the same as the .bmp files??

No, they go to the specified folders under the \FILES\ (or \MODS\Skinpack\) dir.
