Avoiding Collisions on Carrier Deck.

Salute AAA community!

I've recently discovered your site and wish I could have more time to browse all the good stuff you have here.

Since my search didn't produce useful results, I've decided to ask you veterans if someone made a MOD to avoid collision on the carrier deck? We all have faced that on online DF servers. You're rolling on the deck and another plane spawns in front of you... big boom... both dead.

Is there a MOD for that? If not, is there a proper place to float ideas?

I dont think there is a mod to avoid this.

Not 100% sure on this but if you land in the water next to the carrier and your plane stays in one piece it counts as a landing

You could also tell people to clear the carrier for landing before you try to land.

he means when you are taking off.

this is kind of borderline Damage model modifying, which is frowned on.

It might be exempt though

even if it wern't, it would be a difficult mod to do.

I don't know how helpful this will be but... if the aircraft on the runway has its chocks 'in' then other aircraft will not collide with it - I didn't realise this until it was pointed out to me on TS. However the person in the plane on the runway will need to know you are on final so they don't release their chocks for take off.

My bad, you're right, I meant during take off. To avoid collisions when landing, a carrier reserved specially for that purpose will suffice and we can save the good old ditch next to the carrier for emergencies.

Actually I didn't think about modifying the DM of the embarked planes. I though about modding some sort of "tower control". I don't know, maybe when you hit refly it would check to see if someone is on the deck and place you on a waiting list or something like that...

Strange I died more than once with chocks in...

"Chocks in" doesn't apply to dogfight mode, only cooperative mode. And, they don't protect you if another plane explodes.

So, with the info you guys forwarded, I believe my question should have been asked as follows:

One that has the objective of avoiding collisions on a carrier deck by not letting AC spawn when one is already taking off. I'm not looking for modified DM or something on those lines, I think it makes more sense don't allow a plane to spawn than to modify it to disregard damage on the deck.
