From the article you've linked:
Quote:A mock up was built in 1940 and was evaluated at the end of the year by the RLM. It was found to be satisfactory except for the bomb release system. Following revisions to this, the design was resubmitted to the RLM in February of 1941 only to be rejected outright.
There are plenty of actual aircraft that could usefully be added to IL-2 before we need start doing projects that never got off the drawing board. As always, if a modder wants to give it a go, they can, but I can't imagine there being much enthusiasm for it.

Wouldn't it be simpler just to assume every aircraft that has ever existed, even if only as a sketch on the back of an envelope, is automatically designated to be requested as a mod? This would save an awful lot of space on the forums for more useful discussions...

I think from now on I'm just going to laugh when I read another request for someone, anyone, to build an aeroplane for IL2. Those poor little elves in the Arctic Circle are sweating like crazy getting toys ready for kids all over the world, and now they have to figure out how to make IL2 models as well? Come on guys, give the elves a break.

The problem is that elves aren't at our beck and call, and havwe their own projects to work on, which, contrary to IL2 mythology, do take longer than two weeks. Perhaps it might be better if non-elves get themselves a copy of 3DS MAX, learn to model, and do it themselves. That way we all get more models to play with - and yes, that is what I'm doing.

I stopped requesting things now, Now I just decide to do it myself. Tater if it is simple than you can easily do it yourself, like you said, they can just read the tutorials and get on with it.
