I now have downloaded:

AAA Unified Installer
AAA Soundmod 0.93
Soundmods by JAFA
Planeshine1_1.exe + Planeshine1_1_zero_fix.exe
Wrapper.exe
MOD_Activator_v5_2_IL2_4_08.exe
Flakmod
Special effects pack V 0.1

I'm one happy mod-owner now

however,
From what I have read so far here I should install Soundmod 0.93 first before installing the rest...
but elsewhere was suggested to install Mod_activator first???

Can anyone tell me the installation order of the abovementioned files please...

you have made a wise choice sir!

This is the way i have installed the mods - and have no problems at all -
install game, then patches 4.08 + (optional) 4.09, then the unified installer. At this point you should have a game working with most of the best mods going

the flak + special effects mods + any other mod you might want should be added 1 at a time at this point, if the game crashes or something you will know what the issue is and it shouldn't be too difficult to undo the changes you made.

you shouldn't need either the AAA sound mod, as a version of is is included in the unified installer, nor will you need the mod activator - as this is already sorted by the unified. Sound mod by jaffa (i think) might be more hassle than it is worth for now - as it will probably conflict with the unified installer sound mod... and it replaces files added by the unified installer (you could try backing up these files and giving it a go?)

1 Mod activator :

install only if you want enabled mods and don't want new sounds ( requires wrapper installation)

2 Sound mod 9.0 -9.03 :

.... sound versions before AAA UI ( unified installer)

if you choose any of them ( just one not all) then you must install wrapper also

3 AAA UI :

it includes: latest sound mod version ; wrapper; game versions switcher ; most of the crucial mods

with installation of AAA UI ( on clean 4.08 game version) you are ready to go .... no further installations necessary . If adding new mods to it ( official AAA mods) follow instructions carefully and you'll be fine . If adding beta mods .... you're on your own
